4 Fast-Acting Home Remedies for Age Spots & Liver Spots...

QUESTION:

What are some of the best natural ways to get rid of the awful age spots, wrinkles, moles & warts on my face? They are making me look older than I really am and it's starting to get me down. I cannot afford laser or cosmetic surgery (nor do I even want to go down this road) and the expensive facial creams I've tried have done very little. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER:

Age spots, liver spots (Solar lentigo), warts, skin tags and wrinkles are primarily caused by three things - rancid fatty deposits, elastic fiber breakdown and free radical damage to the skin. To get rid of these unwanted visible signs of ageing quickly (and for good) you need a combination of internal and external remedies. By doing this, you attack the problem from the inside AND the outside, which gives much faster and more permanent results.

Here's the top 4 ways to do this...

#1. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV): Apple cider vinegar should definitely be your first "go to" remedy for age spots. In fact, ACV will also remove freckles, skin tags and warts easily, along with helping to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. It plays a crucial role in reversing the effects of elastic fiber breakdown and free radical damage, along with flushing out rancid fat from the body. And best of all, apple cider vinegar is perfectly safe to use and comes with no harmful side effects!

For best results, ACV should be taken orally as well as used externally. But before doing this, you must make sure you first purchase and use the correct type. ONLY the pure, raw organic apple cider vinegar's with the "mother" should ever be used (such as these ones). All other vinegar's are processed vinegar's and have been tampered with so do not touch them.

To take internally, mix two tablespoons (30 ml's) of ACV in a glass of warm filtered water and drink down. You can also add a teaspoon of raw natural honey or Manuka honey for taste as well. Drink this concoction twice daily on an empty stomach (10 minutes before a main meal).

For external use, simply apply the ACV undiluted directly to any age spots, warts, keratosis, etc, using a Q-tip or cotton swab. Leave on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. Do this once to twice daily. As a variation, you can also add a small amount of onion juice for increased effectiveness. Use a natural skin moisturizer afterwards.

#2. Lemon Juice: Lemon juice acts in a similar way to apple cider vinegar. It's a great natural "peel" for the skin and also increases its crucial pH level. To use, simply squeeze the juice from a fresh lemon into a bowl and apply directly to the skin.
Leave on for 20-30 minutes before washing off. This should also be done twice daily (morning and night) for best results. Be sure to use a natural moisturizer afterwards so your skin doesn't dry out.

#3. Castor Oil: Castor oil contains some powerful healing properties. It's regularly prescribed by naturopaths to treat virtually all skin problems, including age spots and liver spots. And it works like a charm! Castor oil also contains strong moisturizing nutrients such as vitamin E and essential fatty acids, so your skin wont dry out either.

To use the castor oil (this is an external remedy only), take a cotton ball and apply some oil directly to the affected area then gently massage in. Leave on for at least an hour before rinsing off. Try and do this two to three times a day for best results. In addition, make sure you buy a good quality organic castor oil that contains the pure oil... Organic Cold Pressed Castor Oil. If you go with the cheaper varieties you may find your condition worsens rather than improves.

#4. Eat Healthy: This last one is a no brainer really. Your health on the outside is a strong reflection of your health on the inside. If your internal health is good, particularly your gut and liver, your biggest organ (your skin) will look radiantly healthy also. Refined and processed foods, junk foods and alcohol will make you look older than you really are. Processed foods and junk food, in particular, contain toxic rancid fats, which are a major cause of age spots and liver spots.

So to keep your skin looking healthy, all of these foods need to be eliminated from your diet. Eat plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, seeds and nuts instead to reverse free radical damage and elastic fiber breakdown. Also make sure you take a good quality probiotic supplement and start culturing your own foods for a healthy gut and digestive system... Cultures for Health. In addition to this, eat plenty of cold water fatty fish or take krill oil to help remove the rancid fat from your body that's built up over the years. Once you start doing this, you'll be astonished at the rapid change in your skins texture, not to mention the rapid change in your energy levels and overall health that will accompany this. So get set to enjoy these positive health benefits as well!

Hope this helps.

Good luck and all the best to you,

Regards,

Troy (Certified Holistic Nutritionist & Herbalist, Health & Wellness Coach)

Funny typo!!
by: katpawzs

I noticed a somewhat funny incorrect word/typo. On the #2 lemon juice idea (line 4) it reads the word bowel. I am quite sure that the correct word should be bowl.... (as it would be rather difficult to pour anything into ones bowel... short of surgery!!!). Regards Kat.

One chemical away from a plastic bag

Margarine also causes age spots. Do we eat butter or margarine? Back in the days when I used to eat bread (using modern engineered wheat RUBBISH) I found some bread spreads tasted the same without margarine, such as honey or jam. Once I stopped with the margarine my age spots went away.

Yes, margarine does cause age spots and liver spots. The reason? This man altered disaster food produces rancid fatty deposits on/under the skin (aka, age spots and liver spots) due to the abnormal "plastic fats" it contains. Pasteurized butter is not completely natural either, however, it's definitely a better option than margarine. An even better choice though is doing what you did Eric and go without both spreads.

Thanks for sharing your story with us.

All the best!
